  Are All Of The Bethels Worldwide In Shutdown (Covid 19) ? Still Operating ?

  how about all of the printing activities including wt and awake magazines ,tracts and brochures etc.?.

  are they all still a going concern ?.

  how many people would there be on average at any one bethel home ?.

  They print very little. use commercial printers or have the home printers do it. The letter instructions now specify no tracts enclosed.

  Simon publishes more useful stuff with a one man crew. If we took up a collection he could get a mimeograph

  The purpose of conversion testimonies and stories

  a hunch has just struck me.we get frequent accounts in the literature and videos of people whose dysfunctional lived have been turned around by studying with the jw's and coming to belief in the org (sorry, jehovah).

  evangelical type christian groups also use similar testimony stories.here's the hunch:the purpose of these is quite different among jw's compared to other religions.other groups use these testimonies primarily to persuade non-believers.the jw's use them to reinforce the beliefs of those already in the "truth.

  What a wonderful time---for faders to fade away!

  i’ve been thinking about it for a few weeks and i’m sort of surprised that no one else has introduced this topic!.

  what better time than now for a fader to fade?

  no meetings, no field service, no elder visits, no assemblies, no convention, and no other bullshit busy work going on.

  Zoom meeting, daily zoom text, letter territory pushed out. Encouragement to dress up for the meeting and have a non controversial backdrop and camera on. Not much aid offered though to those out of work. Phone calls to watch every damn video made.

  also there is no talk about starting to slowly go back to the hall.

  like having 1 group at the hall and the rest on zoom, etc.

  How Is The Governing Body Viewed Today By Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  back in the 1960s , fred franz and n.h knorr were the only men that counted.

  after franz died, the governing body became more of an idolized entity.

  JW patient with covid-19 received blood transfusion

  i had a patient admitted from a skilled nursing facility/rehab that is an active jw.

  the patient had covid-19 as did most of the patients at that facility.

  typically the local elders are all involved in these admissions but there is a strict no visitor policy which includes clergy.

  Witnesses dont vote, military, go to college. The mormon friends I had in school didnt stand out as odd. Jws did.
